Gowen Thunder is an event designed to inspire, unite, and celebrate our military and country as a community.

We are thrilled to offer a family-friendly event that will be a highlight of the year for everyone who attends, showcasing the amazing potential in STEM learning for our children, and bringing awareness to the MWR program at the Idaho National Guard.

Our Mission

Inspire patriotism, ignite the imagination, and foster a sense of community through a safe and memorable experience that celebrates the contributions of the military and aviation to our country, and honors service and sacrifice.

Our Vision

Provide a family-oriented Open House & Air Show that generates a positive economic impact on the community, thanks Idahoans for their unwavering support of the Idaho National Guard and Gowen Field, encourages military and community service, provides funding opportunities for local non-profits, and promotes youth STEM education initiatives.
